Why do LMS implementations fail before launch—and what should you be questioning earlier?

Led by Pam Lee, Senior Learning Officer at World Bank Group, this interactive session uses LMS selection as a real-world case to explore leadership and stakeholder dynamics that can determine success or failure long before go-live. Working through a realistic scenario with fellow leaders, you will apply practical tools including stakeholder mapping, pre-mortems, and the influence model to uncover hidden risks around ownership, incentives, governance, leadership behaviors, and alignment. You will identify early warning signals, test assumptions, and sharpen the questions leaders should be asking before major technology decisions are made. While grounded in LMS implementations, the tools and insights apply broadly to complex organizational change, technology adoption, and transformation efforts.
